| ![]() FROM THE TOP Happy Anniversary!
This marks one year for our new quarterly publication that helps you to become a more informed health consumer. In this latest issue of the magazine, we’ve highlighted some important new services at INTEGRIS – and provided you with helpful tips for the summer season. For women, we’re proud to announce the new location for our Comprehensive Breast Center, offering some of the most advanced screening and diagnostic technology in the area. The center is now located just west of INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center.
We’re also proud of advances that continue to move us into the 21st century for health care. Case in point: the Hermes voice-activated robotic surgery system at INTEGRIS Southwest Medical Center. Hermes sounds like science fiction – a surgeon giving computer voice commands to perform a variety of precise tasks. But it’s reality, and it’s here in Oklahoma at one of the most advanced facilities in the state. As the weather warms and kids head outdoors, parents face new challenges in making sure children stay healthy. It’s the season for critter control, and emergency room physician and toxicologist Marianne Ingles, M.D., gives parents tips on treating bug bites the right way. R. Murali Krishna, M.D., offers parents crucial advice on how to be involved in kids’ sports without succumbing to “Little League rage.” Krishna is a practicing psychiatrist, head of INTEGRIS Mental Health and president of INTEGRIS Health’s James L. Hall Jr. Center for Mind, Body and Spirit. Finally in this issue, look for our feature story on Camp Endres – Oklahoma’s summer camp founded for children with diabetes. INTEGRIS has long played a leading role in making Camp Endres a success. Sincerely,
