Dr. Sajid Jalil is the newest member of the hepatology service. He earned his medical degree from Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan. He completed a medical residency from the University of North Dakota in Fargo and subsequently completed fellowships in esophagology (Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston), hepatology (Nazih Zuhdi Transplant Institute in Oklahoma City) and general gastroenterology (University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston). He also earned a graduate degree in clinical research from University of Texas Medical Branch. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
Dr. Jalil is a Fellow of American College of Physicians and member of several societies. He has published in peer reviewed journals and co-authored a book chapter in the newest edition of Yamada Textbook of Gastroenterology (in press). Prior to joining NZTI, Dr. Jalil was a clinical associate professor of medicine at the University of North Dakota and a gastroenterologist at MeritCare Health System in Fargo.
