Contractual Agreement Between ISMC and Rural School District ISMC enters into a service agreement with the schools that are to receive speech teletherapy services. The service agreement addresses: Cost of Program Pricing for the ISMC speech teletherapy program is competitive with other alternative services delivery programs for school-based speech therapy. There are several pricing options. Fee schedules can be based on a total cost for the length of a contract, total cost for services per month, or a set hourly rate for services provided. Billable services include evaluation and testing, speech-language therapy to students, teacher and parent consultation, and IEP meetings. Schools districts are responsible for covering their equipment and networking costs. An additional cost is established for site visits and for INTEGRIS IT support. Medicaid Billing The program provides to school districts the required Medicaid documentation for students who are eligible for Medicaid reimbursement of speech therapy. Initial Site Visit After entering into a contractual agreement with a school district, the speech-language pathologist makes an initial site visit. The objectives of the initial site visit include: Meeting with teachers, staff, and parents as an introduction to the program Reviewing the IEPs of students who will be receiving speech therapy through the ISMC Speech Teletherapy program Providing speech and language screenings as designated by the school district's screening policy
Speech/Language Testing Standardized testing is administered when a student is referred to the ISMC speech teletherapy program, as designated in a student's IEP, or when deemed appropriate by the speech-language pathologist for a student presently receiving speech therapy. Typically, standardized tests are administered via the T-1 connection. However, testing may be administered on site for younger students or for students with multiple special needs.
