Douglas Horstmanshof, M.D., is the program director of the Heart Failure Institute at INTEGRIS Baptist Medical  Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  “Dr. Doug” is also the transplant cardiologist for the Nazih Zuhdu Transplant Institute.  He plays a vital role in Dr. Long’s program at INTEGRIS Advanced Cardiac Care, as co-director of the program and a specialist in advanced circulatory devices.  He cares for the majority of patients with heart failure awaiting cardiac transplant as well as the patients with LVADs.  Previously, he was part of the heart failure and transplant faculty at Washington University in St. Louis /Barnes-Jewish Hospital, moving to Oklahoma in 2005 to establish the heart failure program at INTEGRIS Baptist.  Dr. Doug is also the acting program director of the pulmonary hypertension clinic at NZTI.
