Inside INTEGRIS TV
""

INTEGRIS Advanced Cardiac Care is the only ventricular assist device program in Oklahoma.  Ventricular assist devices (VADs) are blood pumps which take over some or all of the function of the heart in people suffering from heart failure or who are awaiting a heart transplant.  In conjunction with the Nazih Zudhi Transplant Institute’s heart transplant program and the INTEGRIS Heart Hospital, INTEGRIS offers the most comprehensive heart failure program in Oklahoma.

Below you can meet our team and see the story of some of the Oklahomans who have received VADs.  Click on the links on the left to learn more about mechanical circulatory support and VADs.

INTEGRIS Advanced Cardiac Care was awarded Joint Commission certification in August 2008.  With this approval, our program offer VADs for destination therapy, that is, implantation of a VAD as a definitive treatment for heart failure.  "We're proud to achieve this distinction" says Dr. Long, director of the VAD program.
