Intermediate Care Unit or IMC
Welcome to 8 West – IMC at INTEGRIS Heart Hospital. This 28-bed unit receives patients primarily from Unit 801, an Intensive Thoracic Cardiovascular Unit, or ITCU, to continue the care for patients recovering from open heart surgeries. The INTEGRIS 8 West Unit receives six to eight new patients per day, on average. In addition to caring for heart surgery patients after their stays on 801-ITCU, our knowledgeable nurses also care for patients after thoracic (chest) or vascular surgeries, or they provide care for patients after a heart attack event.
