INTEGRIS Mental Health - Spencer & INTEGRIS Bass Baptist Meadowlake in Enid offer intensive programs designed to treat children ages 5-12, offering both an acute and residential level of care. Our treatment teams include psychiatrists, nurses, and licensed mental health professionals specifically trained in treating children and adolescents.
Acute Care Acute care is available 24 hours a day in case of a crisis requiring immediate hospitalization. Once stabilized, children are moved to a less restrictive environment. To be eligible for acute care, the child must meet the following conditions:
1. A DSM-IV Axis I primary diagnosis - with the exception of V-codes, Adjustment Disorders and Substance-Related Disorders - accompanied by a detailed description of the symptoms supporting the diagnosis.
2. A condition directly attributable to a mental disorder as the primary need for professional attention.
3. Determination that the current disabling symptoms cannot be managed, or have not been manageable, in a less intensive treatment program.
4. Medically stable (as determined by a physician).
5. Within the past 48 hours, the child has exhibited at least one of the following behaviors that present an imminent life-threatening emergency:

Suicide attempt, suicide intent, or serious threat of suicide

Pattern of escalating incidents of self-mutilating behaviors

A significant pattern of unprovoked physical aggression in intensity and duration

Incapacitating depression or psychosis that is resulting in inability to function or care for basic needs
6. Secure 24-hour nursing or medical supervision required.
Residential Treatment
Longer-term care in a hospital based residential setting provides 24-hour supervision and intensive treatment. To be eligible for residential treatment, the child must meet the following conditions:
1. A DSM-IV Axis I primary diagnosis - with the exception of V-codes, Adjustment Disorders and Substance-Related Disorders - accompanied by a detailed description of the symptoms supporting the diagnosis.
2. A condition directly attributable to a mental disorder as the primary need for professional attention.
3. Previously received treatment in an acute care setting or it has been determined that the current disabling symptoms could not be managed,or have not been manageable, in a less intensive treatment program.
4. Medically stable (as determined by a physician).
5. The child is demonstrating an escalating pattern of self-injurious or assaultive behaviors as evidenced by:

Suicidal ideation and/or threat

History of or current self-injurious behavior

Serious threats or evidence of physical aggression

Current incapacitating psychosis or depression
6. Requires secure 24-hour observation and treatment.
Scope and complexity of services
INTEGRIS Mental Health - Spencer & INTEGRIS Bass Baptist Meadowlake in Enid provide a variety of services for both acute and residential care including:
- Psychiatric evaluation and treatment by a qualified child/adolescent psychiatrist
- Nursing care, including biophysical and medication education
- Assessment and therapy services including individual, group, and family therapy by licensed mental health professionals
- Recreational assessment and therapy by a recreational therapist
- Social skills groups by trained mental health professionals
- Treatment planning
- Case management
- Close supervision and a structured environment
- On campus educations services provided by the Extended Education Services and Oklahoma City Public School teachers
Outpatient Services
INTEGRIS Mental Health can arrange for counseling on a outpatient basis. Outpatient counseling may include individual, group and family therapy.
