Hallux Valgus - A swelling or deformity at the head of the proximal bone of the great toe (big toe). Hemorrhage - To bleed. The elderly and those who suffer from osteoporosis are at greatest risk. Hypercoaguable - State describing abnormally thick blood. Hypertrophy - Tissue or organ enlargement.
