The Cochlear Implant Clinic has as a primary objective the preparation of the child's integration into the mainstream of family, educational programs and society.
The audiologists, speech-language pathologists and other staff work with the child's educational program. Visits are made to schools in which the child is involved to inform educators of the child's hearing abilities, to explain the functions of a cochlear implant and to suggest strategies which may assist in the learning process. We also make referrals for private therapy in addition to the therapy provided by the school system upon request.
Educators are welcome to visit our clinic and observe therapy and programming sessions.
Please call (405) 947-6030 for an appointment at your convenience.
