Support Groups

Wings of Hope

Cancer survivors and patients meet to learn to fold origami cranes (a symbol of hope) and butterflies (a symbol of transformation). In the process we share our experiences and hopes with one another. The colorful cranes and butterflies are then attached to cards, signed by a cancer survivor, and given to others experiencing cancer.

Red Hat Group

Group for women affected by cancer. If you would like more information, please visit the Red Hat Society website at www.redhatsociety.com. You must have attained the age of 50, wear a purple outfit and a red hat in the spirit of the poem “Warning” by Jenny Joseph at each meeting. We appear together in public in full regalia to have a good time and a bit of silliness. Those women wishing to join who have not yet reached 50 may join as a ‘Pink Hatter’, wearing lavender with a pink hat.
