The Hispanic Health Fair began 18 years ago, and the attendance has reached over 1,500.
Co-sponsored by INTEGRIS Health and the American Red Cross, the health fair features numerous vendor booths offering participants new and useful information and resources to improve lives, minds and bodies, being presented in both English and Spanish. INTEGRIS Health also provides blood pressure checks, cholesterol, glucose, stroke, diabetes, cancer check screenings and scoliosis screenings and immunizations. Those found to be ‘at risk’ are referred to participating physicians for further evaluation. INTEGRIS stands by its mission: to improve the health of the people in the communities we serve. There are a growing number of Hispanics in the community and with it, an increasing need to embrace them and to provide them health information.
The Hispanic Health Fair is a great resource and opportunity for these agencies and organizations to reach the growing Hispanic community, and this year it will be held at the Oklahoma City Community College on Saturday, April 29th, from 9 am to 1 pm.
