Referrals and Second Opinions

A Cancer Center nurse, counselor or social worker (clinical staff), as appropriate, assesses the need to make an appropriate referral.  If the patient has been diagnosed and is seeking a second opinion by another physician, he/she is given the name and number of three physicians who specialize in the disease and are on the active medical staff of an INTEGRIS facility.

If referral is made to an INTEGRIS affiliated physician, the clinician notifies the physician’s office and provides them with the information obtained from the patient.
