Digestive disorders range from mild upset stomachs and heartburn to life-threatening cancers of the esophagus, liver, pancreas and colon. All told, they account for as many as 35 million doctors’ office visits each year.
To better serve this growing problem, INTEGRIS has opened the Digestive Health Center, the first of its kind in the metro. This unique facility offers an immediate and direct link to all the physicians, surgeons, nurses and staff at INTEGRIS. Through the center, patients are treated for disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, liver, gallbladder and pancreas. Patients have access to a team of more than 50 board-certified specialists including gastroenterologists, hepatologists, general surgeons, liver-transplant surgeons, colorectal surgeons, bariatric surgeons, pathologists and radiologists/ interventional radiologists.
The Digestive Health Center offers basic screenings, minimally invasive surgeries (laparoscopy), cancer treatment and transplantation and several diagnostic and treatment modalities that are unique to the state, including special endoscopy for the small intestine and bile ducts.
The center's goal is to provide innovative and comprehensive treatments, so Oklahomans don't have to leave the state to receive their specialty care.
