Susan Mitchell

Susan Mitchell, MS, RN, CNS, CDE is a Clinical Nurse Specialist and Certified Diabetes Educator at the ediba Diabetes center of Excellence in Oklahoma City, OK. She graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1968 and obtained a Masters in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma in 1985. She has been a Certified Diabetes Educator since 1986, specializing in diabetes education and management. Ms. Mitchell currently works for the ediba Diabetes as a consultant to health care institutions, specializing in inpatient glycemia management program development and outpatient diabetes education programs development and management. Susan is a past president of the American Diabetes Association, Oklahoma affiliate and is active in many diabetes organizations. She has developed many continuing education programs, patient education and professional education materials, and is a frequent speaker about diabetes management and self care to public, patients and health care professionals.
