About INTEGRIS Continuing Medical Education

Mission Statement

Improving the Health of the People and Communities We Serve through Quality Continuing Medical Education.

The mission of the Continuing Medical Education program at INTEGRIS Health is to enhance and maintain the quality of medical care in Oklahoma City and the rural communities we serve through the educational activities offered. This will be done by determining the need for educational programs and developing CME activities to meet those requirements.

CME activities will include Category I and Category II programs developed in response to results of INTEGRIS' annual needs assessment survey and the yearly State of the State's Health Report. All CME activities will be developed to meet pre-established criteria based on the Standards and Essentials of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education.

These CME activities will be in the form of lectures, panel discussions, question and answer sessions and telemedicine broadcasts to the INTEGRIS rural facilities and other activities as needed to meet our targeted audience's needs. The intended outcome goal is for improvement in overall medical care rendered by physicians. As feasible, these results will be integrated with the Performance Improvement program.

CME activities will be targeted to all interested physicians. However, other health care professionals are encouraged to attend relevant CME's, based on space availability.
