" It is easy to get distracted by the small difficulties we encounter on a daily basis and miss out on the tremendous good works that are being performed everyday. I would like to take this opportunity to commend the excellent care that the Baptist Medical Center staff provided for my patient last week. From the initial contact from the nursing staff on 6 East Joint Replacement Center throughout the resuscitation of this critically ill patient including the interventions of the house medical staff, emergency room physicians and on call cardiologist through to the nursing supervisors and Intensive Care Unit staff at the 901 unit that received the patient, their performance was exemplary throughout. it is a tremendous reassurance as a member of your medical staff to have these resources available and deployed in such a thoughtful and caring manner. in spite of the great difficulties encountered by the patient she made a remarkable recovery and was discharged home in good health. Again, I would like to extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to the members of your staff who participated in the care of my patient."

"When you find out you have cancer, your entire perspective changes. What is important becomes quite clear - family, friends, connections. The people I have come to know in the radiation department (Dr. Craig's office and staff) have become friends. "Having just completed two sessions of Dare to Care yoga this week and two sessions of Dare to Care Fitness this week I feel a need to express my appreciation for the opportunity to participate in these two beneficial programs. I have been a part of Pat Lynn Moses' yoga class for over a year and Andi Berry's fitness class since January. Both lead our classes with skill, kindness, and a genuine concern for our well being. I have found these sessions to be beneficial both physically and emotionally. As a cancer survivor and patient at the Troy and Dollie Smith Cancer Center for almost twelve years I have received excellent care from Dr. Brian Geister and Dr. Mary Ann Bauman, my primary care physician. "Yesterday I had everything planned and ready for my left eye cataract surgery, but everything went wrong. We got to INTEGRIS late for the arrival preparation and late for my 9:00 scheduled surgery. Evidently, Dr. David Korber switched someone to my slot and all was not lost. In fact, a lovely nurse named Amie (a french word meaning gracious friend) jumped in the need and got me ready in record time, so I even had enough time to relax. I needed that kind care right then. Anyway, the surgery went beautifully and today I go to get my patch off. I'll never be able to thank Amie enough, please read this letter to your nurses who do such tremendous works in our society. How on Earth would we manage without them. God bless you all."
