Acute Myocardial Infarction Measures

INTEGRIS QualitySouthwest Medical Center Quality

INTEGRIS Southwest Medical Center has continued to make improvements in the care of the patient with acute myocardial infarction, or “heart attack.” Some of the improvements include changing processes and adding evidence-based care to the culture. Using the research from Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) and The Joint Commission, order sets incorporating these elements have been developed.

ISMC is also participating in an initiative to reduce PCI time. The initiative is called the Door to Balloon (D2B) Alliance which is a program that was launched by the American College of Cardiology. You can read more about it by visiting this Web site: www.d2balliance.org/.
