Rehabilitation is an important part of the recovery process for stroke patients. Collaboration between the Stroke Team and rehabilitation professionals serves to promote the recovery of the patient by integrating the rehabilitation process early in the treatment program. Early intervention by rehabilitation professionals stimulates physical, cognitive and speech deficits that result from the stroke and helps patients regain their maximum resources in those areas.
