Dr. Morgan is the Medical Director for the INTEGRIS Stroke Center of Oklahoma™. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma Medical School in 1972 and has been a licensed physician since 1973 in Oklahoma. He completed his medical internship between 1972 – 1973 at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and his residency at University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, 1973 – 1978.

Dr. Morgan has been board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology since 1980.

He has maintained teaching appointments throughout his neurology practice, and currently is a Clinical Assistant of Neurology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, which involves supervision of medical residents at INTEGRIS Southwest Medical Center. He also has been instrumental in initiating a monthly Neurology Ground Rounds in collaboration with the ISMC Emergency Department physicians, nurses, and residents. In addition to providing professional education to medical staff, Dr. Morgan has a strong commitment to educating our community on the warning signs and risk factors of stroke, both within our state and across the USA.

Since 1997, he has been a faculty member for Medical Education Resources, which is designed to teach post-graduate internists, family medicine physicians, and emergency room physicians about clinical neurology.

Dr. Morgan has held multiple medical directorships, and he currently is the President of Medical Staff for INTEGRIS Southwest Medical Center. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Oklahoma State Medical Association, Oklahoma County Medical Association, American Academy of Neurology and the Oklahoma Neurological Society. He also is the co-chair for the American Heart Association’s Oklahoma State Stroke Task Force.
 
He has served as the neurology consultant for a CDC grant awarded to Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health in Atlanta, Georgia, on a Prospective Study of Stroke Outcomes. He also was the Primary Investigator for a clinical drug trial sponsored by Astra Zeneca, Saints II Clinical Trial, to assess the efficacy and safety of intravenous NXY-059 in acute ischemic stroke.

Dr. Morgan and his three partners (Dr. Brent Beson, Dr. Gabriel Pitman, and Dr. Harvey Drapkin) provide 24/7/365 neurology coverage to INTEGRIS Stroke Center of Oklahoma.
