ARE SLEEPING COTS AVAILABLE FOR GUESTS?

Sleeping cots at INTEGRIS Southwest are available from housekeeping at no charge for use in private rooms only because of fire safety concerns. Sleeping cots at INTEGRIS Baptist are charged a daily charge through the volunteer office. Please contact your nurse for more information.

IS PARKING AVAILABLE FOR RECREATIONAL VEHICLES?

A limited number of recreational vehicle parking spaces are located on the north side of the campus. Space is available on a first come, first served basis. Both water and electrical connections are provided without charge. RVs must be registered with the Security department at (405) 636-7611.

WHAT ARE THE VISITING HOURS?

Patient’s schedules receive priority and visiting hours may be restricted when it is necessary to accommodate the medical and rehabilitative needs of the patients. Patients’ schedules allow time for visitation in the evenings.

HOW DO I USE THE TELEPHONE?

• To make long distance calls, dial 8 and then 0. An outside operator will assist you.
• To dial a patient's phone from outside the hospital, the prefix is as follows: 2nd and 3rd Floors, 644 + room number.
• 3 East and 6 West at INTEGRIS Baptist: dial prefix 949 or 951 + the room number.
• To make a local call, dial 8 and then the number.

HOW DO I GET A NEWSPAPER?

Newspaper vending machines are located outside of the INTEGRIS Southwest Medical Center and INTEGRIS Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation Hospital's main entrances. The daily newspaper costs 50 cents, while the Sunday paper is $1.50.

WHERE AND WHEN WILL I DO MY LAUNDRY?

• Washers and dryers are located on all the INTEGRIS Jim Thorpe units.
• As part of your therapy, the occupational therapist may work with you in doing laundry. In this case, you may do laundry during regular therapy hours 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. If not, family members and/or nursing staff may assist with your laundry. Facilities may be used prior to 8:30 a.m. and after 4:30 p.m. during the week. Weekends have no time restrictions. Please notify someone at the nursing desk if facilities are locked.
• Laundry detergent and laundry supplies (with the exception of hangers) are supplied.
• For family members' personal laundry needs, a staff member can give you a list of local laundromats.

HOW DO I SCHEDULE A HAIR APPOINTMENT?

• Talk to one of your team members if you would like to have an appointment.
• Appointments will be arranged after therapy sessions.
• DUE TO LIABILITY ISSUES, PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST THAT YOUR PERSONAL HAIRDRESSER CONDUCT BUSINESS AT INTEGRIS JIM THORPE.

HOW DO I GET MAIL, AND HOW DO I MAIL A LETTER?

• Your mail will be delivered to your room. You may purchase stamps in the gift shop located on the 1st Floor at INTEGRIS Jim Thorpe. Stamps also are available at a stamp machine on the 1st Floor of INTEGRIS Southwest near the surgery waiting area.
• The staff members at the nursing desk can send your mail through the hospital's mail system. A mailbox is located outside the main entrance.

DO I HAVE ACCESS TO MY MEDICAL RECORDS?

To obtain a copy of your medical records, please contact the Health Information department at INTEGRIS Southwest Medical Center by calling (405) 636-7088, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. In order to ensure confidentiality, you will need to complete a written request form and provide identification before your records are released. Please allow at least two working days to process your request. You will be charged a fee for the copies.

WHY DO I HAVE TO CHANGE ROOMS?

At times during your stay, you may be moved to another room. Other patients in the hospital may need to be moved to another room, as well. Please view these changes as an opportunity to meet new people who also are in rehabilitation. If a move is necessary, your social worker or nursing staff will notify you and nursing will move your personal belongings. If you request a private room, your account will be billed an additional charge. Medicare and private insurance do not pay for private rooms unless medically necessary.
