ALS

ALS is a progressive motor neuron disease. ALS typically strikes individuals between ages 56 to 63 and rarely before the age of 20. Prevalence is three to eight new cases diagnosed per 100,000 individuals each year. Risk increases with age up to 74 years. Approximately 35,000 individuals at any given time in the United States are living with ALS. This course is designed to introduce key issues that surround ALS, including what it is and how it can be treated.

Currently, our e-learning courses are only available to INTEGRIS employees. We are working on allowing access to other individuals, hopefully by early 2009.
