We want to help you feel as comfortable as possible throughout your stay with us. | |
The INTEGRIS Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation Hospital staff would like to welcome you to the region's finest rehabilitation hospital and outpatient centers. Our goal is to support you in developing independent living skills that maximize your physical and psychological strengths.
The following guidelines will help you and your family prepare for your treatment plan so you may receive the greatest benefit:
- Please bring a week's supply of comfortable clothing labeled with your name. Loose-fitting clothing without buttons or zippers works best. Bras with front fasteners and loose undergarments also provide more comfort. Tennis shoes or nonskid, low-level shoes are encouraged. Pajamas, robes and slippers may also be brought from home. Each floor of the hospital has a washer and dryer for your convenience.
- Personal hygiene articles -- such as combs, brushes, toothbrushes, toothpaste and shampoo -- should be brought from home. We will provide or suggest any adaptations or alterations that may be necessary for these kinds of items.
- Your days will begin early and will be filled with therapies. INTEGRIS Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation Hospital staff is available 24 hours-a-day and will help you get ready for breakfast by 7:30 a.m., unless otherwise indicated by one of your therapists. The staff will also assist you each evening as you prepare for your next day.
- Meals are served daily at 7:30 a.m., noon, and 5:30 p.m. Because of some patients' special diets, we ask that no food be brought to the hospital unless otherwise indicated.
- Although family members have access to patients at all times, visiting hours are anytime after 4 p.m.
- So that you may receive the greatest benefit from your therapy sessions through active involvement, you will need adequate rest. Consequently, we ask that you turn off lights, radios and televisions by 11 p.m.
If you have questions before or during your stay, please do not hesitate to ask. We know that no atmosphere is as comfortable as home, but we do want to help you feel as comfortable as possible throughout your stay with us.
