Statistics from the March of Dimes estimates that one in nine women will not carry their pregnancy to term and will deliver at 37 weeks. Nearly 500,000 infants will be admitted to Neonatal Intensive Care Units in the United States.
INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center is a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Our unit cares for nearly 350+ infants each year. We are a 25 bed unit. Our neonatal team consists of three board certified neonatologist, specialty trained neonatal nurse practioners and neonatal nurses, therapist, social workers, and ancillary staff who work under the principle of family centered care. This team, combined with the NICU's state-of-the-art technology, ensures that your infant will receive the highest level of care possible. Neonatologist and Nurse Practioners are available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week to provide care to these infants.

- Oscillator ventilation
- Nitric oxide treatment
- Parent teaching program
- Parental support groups
IBMC Neonatal Unit is committed to family centered care. We believe that this is essential in providing the best care to our tiny patients and families. We encourage the involvement of parents in their baby’s non-medical care. We strive to keep open communication between all professionals, providing accurate and complete information so that the best decisions maybe made in treatment choices. We support the use of primary care teams in order to provide individualized care to our premature infants. Our unit understands that a families’ love and support is important in the care of our critically ill infants. That is why our unit is open for parents to visit 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We also provide for infants, closer to discharge, parenting rooms where parents can assume the role of caregiver and stay with their infants overnight.
