The Cardiopulmonary Department offers comprehensive care for inpatients as well as outpatients. We have a Pulmonary Lab for complete pulmonary function testing, EKG's, stress testing and 24 hour heart and oxygen monitors.

 

We offer the only Pulmonary Rehabilitation program in southern Oklahoma. The Cardiopulmonary Department works closely with the medical staff and specialty clinic physicians to provide high quality respiratory care for our patients.

 

Pulmonary Reconditioning at INTEGRIS Marshall County Medical Center is a medically supervised program fro persons with chronic obstructive lung diseases (COPD), such as Emphysema, chronic bronchitis, or asthma, as well as restrictive diseases.

 

The goals of Pulmonary Reconditioning are to help return to the highest level of function and independence, and improve the overall quality of life for that individual-physically, emotionally, and socially.

 

Results of Reconditioning

  • Reduced hospitalizations

  • Improve quality of life

  • Reduced respiratory symptoms

  • Education about pulmonary disease and it's management

  • Increased exercise tolerance and performance

  • Enhanced ability to perform activities of daily living

  • Increased survival. Return to work for some patients
