History

Mayes County has enjoyed the privilege of quality health care through INTEGRIS Mayes County Medical Center since 1954 (formerly Grand Valley Hospital).

Originally built and owned by Mayes County, the facility was soon leased to the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma and was operated by Baptist Healthcare of Oklahoma for many years. BHO merged with INTEGRIS Health Systems in the mid-1990s, and Mayes County Medical Center continues to operate under a lease through INTEGRIS Health.

INTEGRIS Mayes County Medical Center is a licensed 52-bed acute care hospital with many additional services, including a 24-hour physician-staffed Emergency Department, state-of-the-art imaging services (i.e. x-ray, MRI, ultrasound, mammography, and nuclear medicine), and outpatient and inpatient surgery. These services give the residents of Mayes County a reliable source for meeting their healthcare needs, without traveling to the larger cities to receive similar services.
