As we plan for the future, we welcome your participation and encouragement. This is YOUR Foundation whose sole purpose is to provide continuing support for advancements in YOUR community healthcare.

MISSION STATEMENT: "To encourage philanthropic giving to Grove General Hospital Foundation through implementing programs, increasing public awareness and establishing a "pattern of giving" throughout the region."

 

HOSPITAL BED CAMPAIGN

The Foundation announced at the 5th Annual Golf Tournament their campaign to replace 25% of INTEGRIS Grove's hospital beds. This project cost just over $90,000.00. A challenge has been given to all businesses in the Grand Lake area to give to this very important fund! To date 14 beds have been purchased. 3 more are on order at the present time.

CAMP BANDAGE

Camp Bandage was adopted by Grove General Hospital in 1991. Over the years, young people have been taught various different aspects of health & safety. This program is made successful through combined efforts of nursing students from Northeastern A&M College, Grove EMS, Afton and Kansas Vo-Tech Allied Health, INTEGRIS Grove General Hospital, Grove High School Key Club, Grove Police Department, Sadie the Clown, GRDA officers, Grove Area Fire Departments, Grove Area Fire Clowns, REC Crewmen, City of Grove and Grove Emergency Management Services.

KATHY ROBBINS CANCER MEMORIAL

KRCM was developed in 2001 by the Foundation to help cancer stricken patients of Delaware County with the unexpected costs of this disease.

CHRISTIAN MEDICAL CLINIC

The Christian Medical Clinic fund helps subsidize the cost of medications for the Christian Clinic of Grand Lake, Inc. The clinic provides medical treatment and prescription drugs free of cost to those who have no means to pay, and who do not qualify for other types of health care coverage such as VA, IHA, Medicare, or Medicaid.

30-MINUTE CLUB

The 30-Minute Club was implemented in 2002 to help replenish the PIN Fund. Employees of INTEGRIS Grove donate through payroll deduction 1/2 hour of their hourly wage per month. Members of this club then become a Half Hour Hero. Heroes receive a pin to wear on their name badge and a discount card that gives them discounts at 15 different locations. Heroes are also invited to special parties throughout the year.
 

PEOPLE IN NEED (PIN) FUND

The People In Need fund was created for those employees and patients of INTEGRIS Grove General Hospital who are in dire financial need, e.g., medications, medical financial assistance etc. Criteria has to be met -- and the PIN Board makes final approval.

TRUTH & CONSEQUENCES

A program that encourages teens to make healthy choices about their sexuality. Truth & Consequences is a program that focuses on sexually transmitted disease and pregnancy prevention. Although the program stresses that abstinence is the ONLY guaranteed way to completely be free of unwanted pregnancy and disease, consequences to their decisions are thoroughly discussed.

HOME HEALTH FUND

Patients of INTEGRIS Grove General Hospital might need follow up care in the home upon dismissal. The Home Health Fund is designated to help those patients with financial needs.

DEFIBRILLATOR CAMPAIGN

After three recent near-death episodes in the Grand Lake area, the Foundation unanimously approved to move forward with a new campaign to purchase portable defibrillators for all public schools in Delaware County. We have placed 32 defibrillators in area schools and have trained over 350 people in CPR. In 2003 Gov. Brad Henry presented the Foundation and INTEGRIS Grove General the Community Involvement Award for fostering this program which the Foundation initiated in May 2002.

QUALITY IMPROVEMENT GRANTS

The Grove General Hospital Foundation awards up to $10,000.00 annually to departments with INTEGRIS Grove that improve quality patient care. To date the Foundation has given back over $60,000.00 in grant money to INTEGRIS Grove.
