INTEGRIS Clinton Regional Hospital has a new cancer-fighting arsenal. The linear accelerator is an advanced radiation treatment used on tumors of most any size and location.
The accelerator is capable of rotating around a patient and treats the tumor from several angles. This allows for better delivery of a uniform dose of powerful beams, which destroy cells but spare surrounding tissue. The linear accelerator is only the second of its kind in western Oklahoma.
INTEGRIS Clinton Regional Hospital also has an oncology team that offers patients decades of experience and expertise and has treated cancers including prostate, breast, lung, skin, and brain.
