Community Acquired Pneumonia Measures

INTEGRIS Canadian Valley Regional Hospital (ICVRH) is continuously working to improve the care of patients who suffer from Community Acquired Pneumonia (CAP).

In December 2005, ICVRH instituted the use of order sets to ensure that our medical and nursing staffs have an opportunity to utilize the latest evidence-based protocols for the treatment of pneumonia. Prior to the use of order sets, there was much variability among the medical staff in how pneumonia was managed. The pneumonia order set provides structure and consistency to the management of patients diagnosed with pneumonia.

ICVRH has the expectation that each patient who is placed in our care receives the highest quality medical care that can be offered.
