Individuals Honored as 'Nurse of the Year' at ICVH

Each year, five outstanding nurses are nominated and recognized by their peers to serve in the leadership capacity as Nurse of the Year. These individuals meet on a quarterly basis and focus on three primary areas: Physician Satisfaction, Employee Satisfaction, and Patient Satisfaction.

These committee members also assist with various CareMore activities, assist with Nurse Appreciation week, and are vital when it comes to sharing valuable information and ideas with their peers.

"We have an amazing group of ladies this year representing ICVRH as Nurses of the Year," states Christy Wilcox, Chief Nursing Officer. "What these ladies bring to the table is evident from the successful patient outcomes witnessed day in and day out. Their leadership role in their respective department is critical in making this hospital the very best it can be."

Individuals honored this year include: Tamarra Christian, RN (Administrative Supervisor); Brenda Gooch, RN (Surgical Services); Kelly Lang, RN (Clinical Education); Stephanie Rashad, RN (Women's Center); and Haley Swanson, RN (Med/Surg Unit).
