Everyone feels more comfortable recovering from a medical problem or coping with health concerns at home. That is why INTEGRIS Blackwell Regional Hospital provides caring medical services from skilled professionals, in the comfort and security of your home. In many cases, home care enables individuals to remain home, or provides an alternative to nursing home care. Home visits may be arranged whether or not you have recently been admitted to the hospital.
Our Care Fits Your Needs
Our skilled professionals care for you under the direction of your physician.
We provide:
- Professional Nursing Service
Nurse on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week:
- Education - instruction for the patient or caregiver in patient self-care techniques or information to prevent further illness.
- Skilled Procedures – catheter care, dressing changes, IV therapy, injections, colostomy care or other professional patient care.
- Physical Therapy – rehabilitative therapy for patients recovering from accidents, strokes or other problems.
- Speech Therapy – rehabilitative therapy for speech and swallowing disorders and cognitive deficits.
- Occupational Therapy – rehabilitative therapy to assist patients in regaining independence in personal care and activities of daily living.
- Home Health Aides – home care aides are specially trained to provide personal care activities such as bathing, shaving, oral hygiene, hair care, ambulation and exercise under the supervision of a registered nurse.
We also provide coordination of other needed services.

We are dedicated to providing services, which enable people to remain in their own homes. Home services are cost effective, yet provide a high level of professional, compassionate care. Whether the need is for medical assistance or home health aide services, both the recipient and the family will benefit from the comfort and convenience of the home setting.
Many People Qualify for Home Care
In order to be eligible for home health services, you must:
- Be essentially “home bound” for Medicare Payors
- Require skilled nursing care or physical therapy on a short-term basis
- Be within our service area (Serving Kay County and portions of Osage, Noble, and Grant Counties – 35 mile radius)
- Have a plan of treatment from a physician
Coverage of Services
Many private and group insurance plans cover home care services, as will Workman’s Compensation and Champus. Medicare benefits cover all acceptable costs for skilled nursing care, home health aides, and physical therapy ordered by your physician and deemed reasonable and necessary. INTEGRIS Blackwell Regional Hospital will research private or group insurance coverage as a courtesy to clients and will bill Medicare or the insurance company directly for covered services.
Services are Easy to Access
- Hospitalized Patients – services may be requested to begin upon discharge. Contact the home care coordinator or the hospital social services
- Physician Referrals – for direct referrals, physician offices can call INTEGRIS Blackwell Home Health office
- Non-Hospitalized Clients – inquiries about service for yourself or a family member can be arranged by calling our office for assistance
Payment for Services
Payment may be met by:
- Medicare (no deductible)
- Private Insurance
- Private pay
- Medicaid
Services are available regardless of race, color, national origin, age or handicap. (In compliance with the Title VI of the Civil Rights act 1964.
