INTEGRIS Blackwell Regional Hospital opened a new medical clinic located at 1005 W. Doolin in Blackwell on August 5. 

Named INTEGRIS Medical Clinic Blackwell, the new clinic will house INTEGRIS Blackwell Specialty Clinic and Blackwell Medical Group, under which Dr. Gordon Laird, general surgeon, operates.  Both the INTEGRIS Blackwell Specialty Clinic and Blackwell Medical Group previously were located in at 706 S. 13th Street.

“Moving the Specialty Clinic and Dr. Laird to the new location on Doolin provides more space for better patient care,” said Rex Van Meter, President of INTEGRIS Blackwell.  “This move is also a part of our long term strategic plan to recruit more family physicians to Blackwell.  INTEGRIS Medical Clinic Blackwell will be a perfect location for new physicians.”

INTEGRIS Blackwell Specialty Clinic regularly hosts specialty physicians in the areas of cardiology, audio recovery, otology and urology.

“INTEGRIS Blackwell Specialty Clinic is a wonderful service to our local community,” said Jodie Simmons, Specialty Clinic Coordinator.  “Rather than all of our patients traveling to specialists in metro areas for care, the Specialty Clinic allows specialty physicians to bring their clinics to our patients.”

Working under the Blackwell Medical Group, Dr. Gordon Laird also began seeing surgical patients at the new location on Doolin on August 5.  Dr. Laird will continue to perform all surgeries at INTEGRIS Blackwell Regional Hospital.

The new INTEGRIS Medical Clinic Blackwell at 1005 W. Doolin previously housed Blackwell Family Medicine’s north location.
