A healthy workforce is a productive workforce and no one knows that better than INTEGRIS Bass Baptist. INTEGRIS Bass, which offers the most comprehensive Occupational Health program in the greater Enid area. The hospital has been providing Occupational Health services for the past 12 years.
“Our goal is to be the provider of choice for employers, by offering comprehensive, easy-to-use services that emphasize a partnership,” said Diane Bergeron, Clinical Nurse Manager.
Some of the services provided include:
- Employee drug screenings
- DOT and FAA physicals
- Pre-employment physicals
- Injury assessment and management
- Fitness for duty evaluations
- Wellness programs
"Programs can be tailored to fit the specific needs of specific companies," Bergeron said. “One company may only need us for drug screening while another company may utilize the full spectrum of services.”
As medical director, Dr. Gary Patzkowsky supervises the operation of the clinic, including performing physicals and providing on-going care, as well as working with mid-level care providers.
"The approach we use in this clinic is a team concept,” Patzkowsky said.
The clinic is staffed with a supervising physician (Dr. Patzkowsky), a Clincial Nurse Manager (Bergeron) a nurse practitioner (Nancy Cooper) and a physician’s assistant (Kristi McKee); in addition to administrative staff.
The clinic utilizes a variety of resources including physical therapy and diagnostic services provided by INTEGRIS Bass Baptist and other physicians who provide consultation and referrals. Most lab work and X-rays are done on site.
Both Bergeron and Patzkowsky praised the Practice Management division of the hospital for providing excellent administrative support.
“They truly keep the clinic going,” Bergeron said.
The clinic also partners with businesses to try and return an employee to work with limited or modified activity instead of keeping the employee home.
Dr. Patzkowsky is a familiar face in Enid and has been here for the past 21 years. He has experience in family practice and occupational medicine at the Minor Emergency Clinic.
Patkowsky said it’s rewarding to work with an individual, and help him/her get back to work with total job capacity.
The future of the Occupational Health Clinic looks bright and both Bergeron and Patzkowsky feel the clinic has potential for growth.
Patzkowsky said the clinic also provides another service to the community.
“We help make Enid more attractive to industry by having a quality Occupational Medicine program that is comprehensive and offers a continuum of care to potential employers,” he said.
