INTEGRIS Employee Publishes Book
10-5-2008

Lenni Nordloh is about to realize a dream, two years in the making, when her first book is scheduled for release this coming December.  The book is titled “God Sees The Heart” and it’s being published by Tate Publishing headquartered in Mustang, Oklahoma.  God Sees the Heart has a religious message and is full of scripture and stories that Lenni hopes will encourage the reader during their journey in life, knowing that there is nothing that God does not see.   Lenni said the book is a reminder that God sees the heart of those in grief, in joy, in praise, in worship, and in times of personal doubt.

“Literally, God knows our every emotion and action. He sees our secret things too!”  Lenni said.

Lenni started the book after waking up one morning with the feeling that the book was something she was supposed to do.  So in December of 2006, Lenni sat down and began to write.  She said she finished the first half of the book in about 60 days.

By August of 2007, when she started her job at INTEGRIS Bass, she already had 18 chapters complete, and was finished by December of that same year.   She sent the manuscript to Tate Publishing, and it was accepted. The editing and production process began and the book is schedule for mass release on December 16th.

In the book, Lenni shares personal experiences to encourage readers that they are not alone. Personal experience is something that Lenni said she turned to often when writing the book.

Lenni grew up in Colorado the fifth of six children.  She was born deaf and not able to hear until age 10, when she underwent major surgery.  She recalls waking up, and seeing a nurse leaning over her.  A pen fell out of the nurses’s pocket and hit the floor.  Lenni,  upon hearing the noise,  let out a little scream.

It was quite a challenge for the young girl to learn to speak, after all, everyone had a 10 year head start on her.  But Lenni’s father, a school superintendent, knew the value of education and put the young girl in the hands of a voice instructor.  Lenni said her father, who was 54 when she was born, was a big influence in her life, teaching her not to give up and keeping her motivated.  He also provided a spiritual guidance through his own strong faith in Christ.

That faith in Christ has been ever present in Lenni’s life.  She and her husband, Marty, have spent 30 years ministering to others all over the country and beyond.  They’ve lived in Alaska, California, Wyoming, Colorado, Nevada and even Italy.

During their travels Lenni would professionally put down roots in a healthcare environment beginning as a clerk in a hospital in 1966.

The couple has two grown children, a daughter and a son, and two grandchildren, with one on the way.

Before moving to Oklahoma, the couple had been living in Las Vegas and retired in 2006.  They purchased a fifth wheel and began to travel.  But God had other plans and the couple was contacted by the First Baptist Church in Nash, Oklahoma. (a friend,  the couple had known for years, submitted Marty’s name to the church)

Lenni said the couple has been blessed by the move and find Oklahoma to be friendly and comfortable.

She has high praise for her work environment as well. Lenni is a Patient Account Coordinator in the Patient Financial Services Department.  She is one of three coordinators who work tirelessly and cheerfully despite a hefty workload.

“INTEGRIS is one of the most positive places I’ve ever worked.  My co-workers are fair and kind and caring. The people I work with are all professional every one is experienced and very supportive.”  She said.

In fact, she asked her manager, Paula Barrett, to read the book and perhaps offer an endorsement.  Paula’s words can be found at the front of the book: “This book is inspiring. The author captures your attention as if you were in a personal conversation…right here and now!” Paula enthuses.

Lenni is also working on another book.  Although it’s still in draft form, the message is about living victoriously and draws on her many years of counseling.

She said she doesn’t know if there will be a monetary gain from the book.  “That’s in God’s hands,” she says.  More importantly, she wants people to realize life’s blessings and that was the reason she felt compelled to put her pen to paper so to speak.

“I really love people, being with people and visiting with them and I want everyone to place their trust in a loving God who wants the very best for them. Take this word of encouragement to your spirit: God sees the heart.”
