On January 21, 2008 several members of the INTEGRIS Health Diversity Council walked in the 17th Annual Martin Luther King day parade. Brisk winds and 40 degree weather did not keep over 100 groups from marching through downtown Oklahoma City. Some of the groups involved included Junior ROTC, National Association of Black Veterans, Volunteers from numerous presidential campaigns, INTEGRIS Health, and many other Oklahoma employers. The theme of this years parade was "Voting our Values - Valuing our Vote", to encourage voter registration and voting in the community. The parade was only one of many events held this week to commemorate the legacy of Dr. King.
