| Job Summary and Essential Functions |
Patients are admitted for pre and post cardiovascular surgery and a wide range of medical/surgical diagnosis and other medical complications. The unit provides telemetry monitoring for all patients as well as remote monitoring for the Intermediate Care Unit.
Plan, deliver, evaluate and manage patient care, either directly or through delegation to other health care team members.
The Staff Registered Nurse assumes responsibility for the management and delivery of patient care utilizing the nursing process May be required to float to other units. May be required to participate in on call status. This position requires age related competencies. Performs all other job duties as assigned.
The Staff Registered Nurse's management of the delivery and documentation of patient care includes, but is not limited to:
Assessment/re-assessments
Development of the plan of care
Implementation of appropriate patient care interventions
Evaluation of appropriate patient care interventions Supervises and coordinates the delegation and implementation of patient care of licensed and non-licensed personnel for their assigned shift/area, including delegated assignments, monitoring of patient care, facilitating problem solving, and education/training of staff and patients.

| Education and Experience |
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Oklahoma required.
Pre-hire validation of competency in medication administration required.
Current BLS certification upon hire, or completion within 30 days of hire required.
Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
Previous Registered Nurse experience preferred.
No experience is required. RN Staff 2 (1303)
All qualifications of RN Staff 1 required.
Two years of related work RN experience required.
Two years of full time LPN experience can be substituted for one year of RN experience. Two years of part time RN experience can be substituted for one year of RN experience. RN Staff 3 (1302)
All qualifications of RN Staff 1 required. One of the following is required:
Two years of exceptional standards performance as an RN
Two years RN experience and a Master's degree in Nursing, or
Five (5) years of full time RN experience. Emergency Department Only:
ACLS certification completed within 6 months of hire. Hospice Only: Current CPR required rather than BLS. Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse (CHPN) preferred. Valid driver's license in the state where employed, available and dependable transportation, ability to drive automobile,and proof of current automobile liability insurance. Radiology Only:
Current ACLS certification required.
90 days of hire date:
CPR level C
Infection control
Hazardous communication/wastes
Disaster plan/fire safety
IV therapy
Blood Glucose Monitoring (Accucheck)
Tuberculosis awareness
Requires knowledge of specialized nursing techniques and clinical skills needed most frequently on the unit of the hospital for which application is being made.
