INTEGRIS Hispanic Health Initiative will wrap up its first Hispanic Weight Loss Challenge, “Gane … Perdiendo,” or “Win … Losing,” with a community health and fitness day and weigh in on Saturday, July 19. Two INTEGRIS Health employees, Maria Aymat and Corina Ramirez, challenged the Hispanic community to join them in their weight loss journey.
During the 12-week program, dieticians, physicians, fitness trainers and other health professionals have provided helpful tips and suggestions to assist everyone with their lifestyle change. Maria and Corina’s weight and health indicators have been monitored and shared so others can learn from their experiences.
Join Maria, Corina and the more than 300 weight loss challenge participants in celebration of their accomplishments from 10 a.m. to noon at Rancho Village Church, 1411 S.W. 38 Street, Oklahoma City. The event will involve an array of physical and nutrition activities including zumba, yoga, hip-hop and many more fun activities. A special area will be available for children to learn the importance of being physically active. Participants will be encouraged to weight in and learn more about how to continue staying active. For more information, please contact the INTEGRIS HealthLine at (405) 951-2277, press #2 for Spanish.
