INTEGRIS Hispanic Health Initiative Kicks Off its First Ever Hispanic Weight Loss Challenge

 “Win…Losing” or “Gane…Perdiendo”

April 2, 2008

OKLAHOMA CITY - Two INTEGRIS Health employees Maria Aymat and Corina Ramirez will challenge the Hispanic community to join them in their weight loss journey. During the 12-week program--dieticians, physicians, fitness trainers, and other health professionals will provide helpful tips and suggestions to assist everyone with their lifestyle change. Maria and Corina's weight and health indicators will be monitored and shared so others can learn from their experiences. Follow Maria and Corina's story as they begin replacing their "old" habits with healthy alternatives. This challenge focuses on becoming fit and healthy, not just how many pounds they can lose.

Hispanics interested in participating in the challenge can sign up at the 20th annual INTEGRIS Health Hispanic Health Fair.

There will be a special weight loss booth there for people to register. Weight loss and nutrition tips will be published every week in EL LATINO American Newspaper.

DATE: Saturday, April 12
TIME: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
PLACE: Oklahoma State Fairgrounds
The Hobbies, Arts & Crafts and Modern Living Buildings
