INTEGRIS Health Partners with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma to Promote Healthy Choices

OKLAHOMA CITY – INTEGRIS Health has partnered with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma to introduce the OrganWise Guys program at three Oklahoma City elementary schools. The OrganWise Guys program uses characters to teach students how to be smart from the inside out.

The partnership furthers the effect of INTEGRIS’ existing “Move for Life” nutrition and exercise program that is currently being implemented in Ridgeview, Fillmore and Western Village Academy. Move for Life is designed to promote healthy eating, physical activity, emotional well-being and physiology. Both programs were developed to reduce the rate of childhood obesity in our communities

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma purchased the OrganWise Guys curriculum and INTEGRIS presents and implements the program at the schools and tracks its progress. “This is a win/win situation for everyone involved, especially the students,” says Joycelyn Wiggins, who serves as the liaison for the program. The program will reach approximately 1,200 students in Oklahoma City this year.
