INTEGRIS Health Wins Consumer Choice Award

September 17, 2007

OKLAHOMA CITY - INTEGRIS Health is a hospital of choice for the people in the Oklahoma City area. The healthcare system was recently named a Consumer Choice Award winner by the people of the community.

Each year, National Research Corporation (NRC) recognizes those hospitals whose consumers rate as having the best quality and image in their area.

This is the twelfth year NRC has given out the awards and it is the twelfth year INTEGRIS Health has received the honor. “There is no greater honor than to continually be recognized by the people we serve,” says Stanley Hupfeld, the President and Chief Executive Officer of INTEGRIS Health.

The annual NRC Healthcare Market Guide is the nation’s largest and most comprehensive study of its kind. No other study used to measure hospital performance and preferences contains more consumer responses than the NRC study.

“Consumers play an increasing role in selecting their healthcare facilities and services,” says NRC Chief Executive Officer Michael D. Hays. “As more healthcare quality information is made publicly available, we expect this trend to increase. These organizations were selected for the Consumer Choice Awards by the community residents they serve. We are pleased to honor these facilities for their dedication to quality healthcare in the eyes of their patients.”

Of the 3,200 hospitals named by consumers in the study, the winning facilities rank highest in their Metropolitan Statistical Areas as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau. The 2007/08 NRC Healthcare Market Guide study surveyed over 200,000 households representing over 400,000 consumers in the contiguous 48 states and the District of Columbia.
