WASHINGTON, D.C.

AHP represents managers of philanthropic programs in not-for-profit hospitals, clinics, health care systems and related facilities throughout North America.

“Barbara Larson is a skilled and devoted fundraising professional on behalf of health care causes in the Oklahoma City area,” said William C. McGinly, Ph.D., CAE, president and CEO of AHP. “She is a welcome addition to the AHP board of directors.”

Ms. Larson joined INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center Foundation in 1993 and today serves as administrative director for both the INTEGRIS Baptist and INTEGRIS Southwest Medical Center Foundations. A Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), she received the Gerry Gunnin Professional Achievement Award this year for exemplary ethics, fundraising success and generosity to colleagues with development knowledge.

Ms. Larson is a past chair for the American Cancer Society’s Daffodil Days in Oklahoma City and worked with Project Woman to distribute the book “A Portrait of Breast Cancer.” She describes her most rewarding volunteer experience as mentoring at the Western Village Academy, a charter school supported by INTEGRIS Health.

Ms. Larson graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a bachelor’s of science degree in community health/management. Besides AHP, her professional affiliations include the National Committee on Planned Giving and Oklahoma Planned Giving Council.

The Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, established in 1967, is a not-for-profit organization whose 4,600 members manage philanthropic programs in 2,200 of North America's not-for-profit health care providers.
