OKLAHOMA CITY – June’s INTEGRIS Health Essentials programs and events include a summer blood drive, memory loss screenings, stroke prevention, cancer support, CPR training, reflexology, grief support, a senior prom, physical therapy and incontinence, Pilates, senior driving, weight management, joint replacement, men’s health screenings, nutrition, and strength training, as well as free hearing screenings.

Free Hearing Screenings – Join the INTEGRIS Cochlear Implant Clinic and Hearing Enrichment Language Program (HELP) for a free hearing screening in the month of June. Screenings will be offered by appointment only with staff audiologists on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 3434 N.W. 56 Street. Friday, June 1, Summer Blood Drive – Share the gift of life by donating blood. All donors receive a free mini-physical, cholesterol check and a short-sleeve T-shirt. Roll up your sleeve and save up to three lives by donating blood from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Central Oklahoma Cancer Center Conference Rooms at INTEGRIS Southwest Medical Center.
Friday, June 1, Tuesday, June 5, and Wednesday, June 27, Advances in the Treatment of Memory Loss and Alzheimer’s Disease – Great strides have been made in the early detection and treatment of memory loss and Alzheimer’s disease in recent years. Attend one of the following educational presentations and take advantage of a free memory loss screening. A light lunch will be provided, followed by a noon presentation and memory loss screening. Saturday, June 2, Strike Back: No More Strokes! – This half day workshop will focus on preventing and reclaiming your life after stroke and is geared for stroke and TIA (transient ischemic attack) survivors, caregivers, family members and the general public. The workshop will address signs and signals to look for before going to a stroke center; latest treatments for stroke, i.e., carotid artery stenting and clot retrieval; and how to live an easier, safer and simpler life after stroke. The presentation will be held at 9 a.m. in the Central Oklahoma Cancer Center Conference Rooms at INTEGRIS Southwest. The class is free, but registration is required and space is limited. Wednesday, June 6, HeartSaver CPR – INTEGRIS PACER Fitness Center is joining up with HeartSmart to offer you the latest in CPR and AED training. Learn all the new guidelines and methods for CPR.
