OKLAHOMA CITY - Local physicians, INTEGRIS Health and United Surgical Partners International (USPI) have developed an ambulatory surgery center located at 5925 N.W. 139 St. in northwest Oklahoma City.
USPI was responsible for the development, and will handle the management and operations of the center.
The new 11,000-square-foot facility named Physicians Surgery Center, an affiliate of INTEGRIS Health, includes three operating rooms and serves as a replacement facility for the existing Specialists Surgery Center.
The aging Specialists facility, limitations of the current location, and benefits of being located in a more rapidly growing part of northwest Oklahoma City prompted the move.
The expected specialty mix at the surgery center is orthopedics, podiatry, general surgery, gynecology, dental, ophthalmology, and pain management.
Construction was completed in late July and the first surgery was performed at Physicians Surgery Center on Aug. 1, 2007.
"Our physician partners, INTEGRIS and USPI are excited about this opportunity,” says Steve Hendley, regional vice president for USPI. “We have created a state-of-the-art facility where we can provide first-class surgical services for the local community in a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment, one in which we would be happy to treat our own families."
The Media is invited to the Physicians Surgery Center Open House: Thursday, September 6th 5:30 to 8:30pm 5925 N.W. 139th Street
