INTEGRIS Health, Red Lobster Restaurants and Rebuilding Together Join Efforts to Help Rebuild an Oklahoma City Home

OKLAHOMA CITY – The INTEGRIS Health Basic Educational Empowerment Program (BEEP) and Red Lobster will be performing community service on a home in the Oklahoma City area to help fulfill a requirement of the program.
BEEP is a program for at-risk youth to help them obtain a GED and acquire a marketable skill. BEEP students are referred into the program from area partners such as Youth Cornerstone, THRIVE, Weed and Seed, area pastors, Oklahoma City Police Department, A Chance to Change, Oklahoma City Public Schools and other community partners. The students attend GED classes held at INTEGRIS Southwest Medical Center. After completing their GED, students progress into the marketable skill program where they attend area technology centers, colleges and universities.
While in the program students learn to live the pillars of success that include Self-Esteem, Responsibility, Honesty, Communication and Community Service. Students also learn what job would be best for them, how to create a working resume, develop a 5-year personal strategic plan and how to give back to the community.
On Saturday, April 21, BEEP students, INTEGRIS employees and Red Lobster employees will work on making the house safe and secure for an elderly homeowner. Events scheduled for the day include scraping, painting, replacing doors, installing handrails on the porch, installing wood siding, and replacing window sills.
