Rethink Your Drink

If you’ve been following the nutrition news, Americans are currently consuming over 20% of their calories in liquid form.

Unfortunately, these liquid calories may be contributing to obesity. Have you ever thought about how many calories you drink?

  • 12 oz regular, sweetened soft drink= 140 calories.
  • One (20 oz) bottle = 235 calories.
  • 32 oz = 373 calories.
Suppose you drink two, 20-oz bottles of soft drinks in course of your work day plus one more at home. (60 oz total) If so, calories tally up to whopping 705 per day! Worse yet, there isn’t any nutritional value in soft drinks.

If you drink regular soft drinks, and are interested in losing a few pounds---all you may have to do to lose the extra pounds is switch to a calorie-free beverage! No special “diets.” No complicated meal plans. Just making this one change can help get you started in the right direction with weight loss.
