Health Screenings

The Hispanic Initiative offers free health screenings once a year at the Holy Angels Catholic Church located 317 N. Blackwelder in Oklahoma City. The purpose of the screenings is to educate and provide awareness about the importance of maintaining a healthy life style, as well as treatment if screening results are outside the normal range.
In 2005, more than 280 people were screened and more than 234 flu shots were provided.

Screenings include glucose, cholesterol, and blood pressure. The participants are also provided with a list of resources of clinics, doctors, and other related health agencies. Screenings are open to church members as well as the public.
