Christmas Adopt-A-Family

More than 10 years ago, the INTEGRIS Community Health Improvement department began the Adopt-A-Family Christmas Program. It has continued to grow throughout the years and has helped many needy families, senior citizens and children in our community who otherwise may not have had gifts during the holidays.

The recipients are referred by metro area elementary schools, churches, and ministries that are located in high-crime, high-risk areas, and by a local senior citizen’s center. Those referred are then “adopted” by INTEGRIS employees who open their hearts and their pocketbooks to provide gifts and food to those less fortunate.

In 2008, through this program, approximately 449 lives were touched by the compassion and generosity of those willing to extend a helpful hand.
