INTEGRIS Clinton Regional Hospital, a 64-bed acute care facility, has the only stroke center in western Oklahoma, and its Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation unit is the only inpatient acute care rehabilitation facility in the area. The hospital is also proud to offer intensity modulated radiation therapy, known as IMRT. This state-of-the-art cancer treatment method delivers high doses of radiation directly to cancer cells in a very targeted way that is much more precise than conventional radiotherapy.

Freezing Weather, Blazing Participation

Blood DriveDespite the frigid January weather, 98 people battled the elements to participate in the blood drive hosted by INTEGRIS Clinton Regional Hospital on behalf of the Oklahoma Blood Institute. The previous weekend’s icy weather had caused the cancellation of numerous OBI-sponsored blood drives throughout the state, placing an already-depleted blood supply at perilously low levels. Even when the original location proved to be too icy to hold the blood drive, INTEGRIS Hospital stepped in and utilized the facility’s Weichel Conference Center while supplying a steady stream of INTEGRIS Clinton Regional Hospital employee-donors to step up, lend a hand and donate blood.

Cancer Survivors Day Celebrated

Cancer Survivors DayTo commemorate National Cancer Survivors Day, INTEGRIS Clinton Regional Hospital hosted the first annual Barbecue in the Park event, with approximately 75 cancer survivors, family, friends, and hospital employees in attendance. INTEGRIS Clinton Regional Hospital employees volunteered to help plan and organize the event, which was filled with a myriad of options, including a hamburger cookout, miniature golf, and softball game.

Women and Heart Disease

Dr. Mary Ann Bauman spoke to the Clinton community about “Women and Heart Disease.” The event was sponsored by INTEGRIS Heart Hospital and INTEGRIS Clinton Regional Hospital.
